On
October 18, 1988, we opened Brigham's GREAT BEGINNINGS. We soon
changed our name to Brigs Great Beginnings to prevent confusion
between us and an ice cream chain out of Massachusetts. Creedmoor
Road was two-lanes, and Cary was much smaller than Chapel Hill.
There were very few restaurants offering extensive breakfast selections,
and even fewer offering them day and night. We felt that there was
a need for a restaurant that offered a brunch menu all day long,
using only the best ingredients to create an enjoyable and affordable
meal served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. So that's what
we did!
And, that's what we do, every day! As the area has grown, so have
the number of Brigs Restaurants. The menu has grown through the
years also. We've added more salads and sandwiches, and nearly doubled
the variety of breakfast items. Here's a look at our past menus.
In 1994, the American Egg Board awarded its Golden Egg Award to Brigs Restaurants for "creative menuing of eggs." Brigs has had the pleasure of serving on the American Egg Board's Foodservice Advisory Council nearly every year since. For a wealth of information, including recipes, egg safety tips, and children's activities, visit the new and improved
American Egg Board website.
Food safety is paramount at every Brigs! We purchase only from those
vendors who are also committed to food safety, and all Brigs Restaurants
have ServSafe certified personnel. Congratulations to our most recently ServSafe certified manager - Richard Adams, Kitchen Manager of Brigs Great Beginnings in Raleigh. For information about ServSafe, visit the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation website.
Brigs
Restaurants is proud to have been the first to sponsor a wolf in
the 2001-2002 Raleigh Art Commission's Red Wolf Ramble.
The art exhibit featured 100 fiberglass wolves painted by various
artists. The wolves were displayed all over the city. Check out
these photos of our very own "Chef
Wolf".
There are plenty of of opportunities to own and operate a Brigs Restaurant in North Carolina, especially the Triad. See our Brigs Franchising page for more information. Brigs Enterprises does not offer direct or indirect financing.
